Amazing Grace International (AGI) contracts with the
newspaper USA TODAY to advertise Bible correspondence
courses each week. Thousands of students from every State
have taken the eight-lesson course in its nearly twenty year
ministry. The course is offered in Spanish and English, in
print and on the internet. AGI also oversees a special project known as "Tom's Kids,"
an effort to educate children in Vietnam. AGI is directed as
a Virginia non-profit corporation by its founder, Mike Tune.

Robert and Dawn Nilram have served the congregation
in
Lewistown, Pennsylvania, since March 1, 2005.
Robert is a native of Massachusetts and worked as a welder
for 22 years until he and Dawn decided to devote their lives
to preaching the Gospel. He earned a degree from the Sunset
International Bible School program, then found that their
commitment to evangelism made a good fit with the Lewistown
Church of Christ. In addition to three grown children, they
have younger son, Isaiah.

Don and Esther Roarabaugh are working to establish
the
Greater Torrington Church of Christ in
Torrington , Connecticut.
Torrington is located in the northwest part of the state.
The Roarabaughs were previously active members of the
Poughkeepsie, NY congregation and later served a
congregation in southern Virginia for five years before
beginning work in Torrington in August 2009.

Pedro Batres has served in the mission fields of
Nicaragua and Guatemala since 1969.
He is a native of El Salvador
and a graduate of the Sunset School of Preaching
in Lubbock, TX. He and his wife, Mireya, who
holds a degree in social service and is from
Nicaragua, worked in Guatemala from 1985 to
2000, when they moved to Nicaragua. |

Henry Gutierrez has
preached for the congregation in
Juigalpa, Nicaragua
(about 100 miles east of Managua) since 1989.
In addition to his ministerial
duties, he conducts evangelistic campaigns, and
works with various other congregations in the
area of Juigalpa. He and his wife, Rosa, have
been married since 1991 and have three
daughters, Eunice, Aurisol & Kimberly. |

Gene and Janice Luna
have served as missionaries in
Guatemala
since 1975.
They have moved to the States
where Gene is concentrating on writing
Spanish-language extension classes and other
works for the Western Bible Institute (WBI),
established in 1993 to prepare Guatemalan men to
preach and assume leadership roles in local
churches. Falls Church has contributed to their
support since 1998. In addition to WBI
materials, Gene has compiled a topical Bible
concordance in Spanish, and edits and updates a
Spanish-language song book. |

Omar and Tana Palafox
are working in
Leon, Mexico
Omar is a native of Guadalajara, Mexico, and
Tana is from Torrance, CA, and they met while
working in AIM, Adventures in Missions. Both are
graduates of SIBI, the Sunset International
Bible Institute, Lubbock, TX. Omar also holds an
M.S. in Ministry and Bible and a B.S. in Bible,
both from Lubbock Christian University. Tana
holds two B.A. degrees from Texas Tech, one in
Spanish and the other in Arts Education, and is
pursuing a master’s in education from the
University of Phoenix. They have two children,
Emma and Maicah.

The Recardo Reyes family
plans to spread the Word in
Curnavacas, Mexico
Starting May 23, 2010, the team
has committed to a one year internship with
another three family mission team currently
doing work in Cuernavaca. The most senior
members on this team are on their third church
plant in Cuernavaca, with their first two
congregations being now autonomous. During their
internship year they will have the opportunity
to pursue language training, work and mentor
with the Cuernavaca mission team, and visit
other missionaries working in Mexico. Following
their internship they will decide whether to
plant churches in Cuernavaca or Aguascalientes.
Both Metropolitan areas are around one million
in population, and have less than 150 known
Christians.

Campus Outreach: Realizing the importance of
spiritual growth among college and graduate students, we
have an active program that culminates in a regional
activity called “Fellowship and Fireworks”. We utilize
speakers from the campus ministries at the University of
Virginia such as Josh Grim and Virginia Tech to provide a
mid-summer weekend of faith and fellowship ending with the
Independence Day fireworks display in downtown Washington,
DC. |
